“I would recommend Harry from (stretching arms out) Cleveland to Kona. I walked into Harry’s office in Holualoa nearly 4 years ago to the day as a random drop in. I was there looking at some business possibilities – any possibility really – to get myself with some foothold on the Big Island. Harry welcomed me in, showed me a number of listings and took about an hour with me. I was added to his daily update list and for about 2 years we looked at the list. We finally made an offer on a REO property in Hawi, it was a lowball on a foreclosure, but Harry did everything required to try to play the lowball game with us. That one didn’t work out. About a year later a condo on Alii Drive came up for sale. It looked like a good one, we jumped on it and Harry got it done. We (wife and I) each visited the new “hands off” condo separately…but it wasn’t quite enough. We didn’t go to our new condo much… We really wanted to move to the Big Island…you know, buy a coffee farm. So about 9 months later (about 9 months ago) we had been tracking a property for a while that just hadn’t sold. Coffee farm, estate, all the trappings – with one hitch, no internet or not reliable anyway. I noticed the house we’d been tracking toward was off the market so I asked Harry about that and I asked him a question about his perception on Satellite internet and he gave his honest impression and said, “By the way, have you looked at this house? I thought I’d sent it to you before. It was contingent but just came back on the market today.” It looked amazing. Had everything, including reliable internet. A little smaller (a lot really) landwise but did I really think I needed more than 5 acres? I didn’t even know what I was doing. We made a contingent offer at the outset of all the Covid business. Perfect timing probably because this house wouldn’t have lasted or accepted as contingent in non-Covid days. We ran through multiple hurdles related to selling our existing business, financing issues due to the commercial nature of the property, insurance, etc. The buyers stuck with us with some massaging and Harry guided us through the whole thing with care, concern, and ease. I can’t give Harry high enough praise. I asked him when he brought us our truck (that we purchased with the property) to the airport when we landed and began our self quarantine if he ever thought I’d be a real buyer when I wandered into his office that day. His answer showed his 30+ years of experience, “Well, you never know one way or another.” We’ve been in our new 5.5 acre coffee farm for about 7 days now. I’ve been waiting to write this review until we actually got the deal done. 9 months and 7 days later I can tell you – Harry’s your guy. It’s a dolphin you’re after…”
